Responsibilities:
– Oversee the completion and evaluation of Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
– Complete and manage various problem-solving and quality improvement processes as required by customers.
– Coordinate Pre-Series Order (PSO) submissions.
– Design and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) studies as needed.
– Aid in tracking and coordinating engineering changes.
– Monitor compliance with color standards.
– Ensure adherence to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) for all assigned product lines.
– Develop and maintain control plans for quality assurance.
– Conduct studies on process capability and gauge repeatability and reproducibility.
– Provide leadership and direction to Quality Technicians.
– Maintain a commitment to safety, complying with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
– Ensure a safe working environment, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.
– Respond to and investigate reports of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
– Actively participate in the company’s safety program, including workplace inspections and accident investigations.
Required Experience:
– At least five years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
