Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative PLC-based control systems.
• Champion the identification and resolution of machine PLC-related issues through systematic troubleshooting.
• Generate and maintain essential documentation, including work/user instructions, functional specifications, detailed design specifications, and electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Conduct thorough testing of machine functionality and fault recovery, actively participating in project startup and machine commissioning.
• Foster collaborative relationships with Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Production Supervisors, and other internal team members.
Education and Experience:
• Possess an Associate/Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field, or hold a Trades Qualification with substantial equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in software packages such as Allen Bradley RSLogix500 / 5000 and Factory Talk View Studio.
• Ability to grasp and apply fundamental ladder logic principles, I/O control, and PLC commands, coupled with adept HMI usage.
• Proven track record in electrical control system design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industrial networks, including DeviceNet and EthernetIP.
• Knowledge of Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex, IFM, Omron) is advantageous.
