RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Lead and direct the daily operations of IT Analyst(s).
– Manage systems related to manufacturing, shipping, and customer coordination, including Cimplicity, RSLinx, MS SQL 2008, Microsoft Windows Servers, and various applications like Microsoft Office and SAP.
– Oversee hardware maintenance including servers, computers, printers, barcode devices, and touch screens.
– Administer groupware applications, including Microsoft SharePoint.
– Supervise the division’s help desk system.
– Ensure robust data backup, disaster recovery plans, and network security.
– Focus on improving departmental key performance indicators.
– Assess and fulfill business needs with appropriate technology solutions, equipment, and policy development.
– Ensure timely updates of operating systems and software in line with the company’s guidelines.
– Oversee IT project management, including organization, testing, and implementation.
– Guarantee timely training for all department employees, both new and transferred.
– Conduct regular performance reviews and adhere to company policies and safety standards.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
A Bachelor’s Degree in information systems technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or a comparable blend of education and experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
At least seven years of advanced IT experience in an automotive manufacturing setting is required, including a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
