Job Overview:

The Continuous Improvement and Launch Manager at the company is responsible for leading the manufacturing team towards excellence in continuous improvement and managing Plant Launch operations. This role also involves serving as the key liaison for the plant with external stakeholders and ensuring adherence to high-quality production standards.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

– Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance performance in areas like safety, quality, and efficiency.

– Train employees on improvement concepts such as standardization and Lean methodologies.

– Organize and lead Kaizen events, overseeing their implementation.

– Monitor, analyze, and report on continuous improvement efforts.

– Present at Employee Communication Meetings.

– Guide teams to achieve annual cost savings goals.

– Supervise department staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance management.

– Conduct regular workplace inspections and enforce safety regulations.

– Manage all aspects of new program launches, including budget tracking and coordination between departments.

– Act as the primary liaison with customers, corporate management, and suppliers.

– Assist in maintaining the company’s commitment to producing high-quality products.

– Develop and maintain effective operational strategies and processes.

– Oversee change management processes for design and production updates.

– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

– Participate in and contribute to the division’s safety program.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

– At least 5 years of experience, including a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.

– Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and advanced problem-solving techniques.

– Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.

– Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are preferred.
