Primary Responsibilities:
– Prepare monthly and annual financial results for the plant accurately and on time.
– Manage the division’s general ledger, annual close, and setup for the new fiscal year.
– Process and track all Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs).
– Issue purchase orders to vendors and manage billing and collections for customer-owned tooling.
– Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the corporate office regarding specific GL account reconciliations and supplemental information used in consolidated corporate disclosures.
– Prepare risk management schedules for the Corporate Insurance department.
– Prepare various US tax schedules for the Corporate Tax Department.
– Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and completing monthly performance reports.
– Assist in preparing the annual Controller Model File.
– Support the Controller with additional accounting duties as assigned.
– Conduct other corporate reporting as required.
– Provide backup support for the General Accountant Coordinator’s tasks as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
– Perform month-end and year-end accounting functions, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
– Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including billing, daily deposits (cash application), collections, and all other cash management activities.
– Record the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets, track existing fixed assets, record depreciation, and manage the disposition of fixed assets.
– Balance inter-company accounts.
– Analyze and evaluate plant-operating expenses.
– Compile documentation for financial audits.
– Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 legislation.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting with a minimum of three years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Additionally, over five years of total financial experience is required.
– Experience with computerized accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
– Familiarity with Payroll/Timekeeping software and MRP systems is preferred.
– Proficiency with a ten-key calculator.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to employees, management, corporate personnel, and external parties.
– CMA certification is preferred.
