This role involves overseeing the entire quality system in our automotive manufacturing setting, including the development and implementation of strategies and processes to improve product quality and ensure compliance with industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) according to international standards and regulatory requirements.

– Conduct and oversee internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.

– Manage the quality assurance team, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure departmental goals are achieved.

– Analyze customer feedback and production data to identify areas for quality improvement and implement appropriate corrective actions.

– Collaborate with production managers and other department heads to integrate quality control tools and methodologies into manufacturing processes.

– Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

– Maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes and procedures.

– Oversee the handling of non-conformities from quality audits, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measures.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

– Experience in automotive manufacturing – preferably with a tier-1 manufacturer

– Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

– Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.

– Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is preferred.

– Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

– Proficiency in statistical analysis software and quality management tools.

 

Desirable Skills:

– Experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with all levels of the organization and its external suppliers.

– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
